What are your performance rates?
Our performance rates vary between events and are customized depending on the needs/wants of our hosts. The cost of performance is determined by the size/type of event, the amount of time we perform, the number of performers we need to send out, and the type of fire stunts requested (i.e., we require more compensation when fire eating and fire breathing stunts are requested for showcases).
What kind of events do you cater to?
Our troupe caters to all varieties of events! We have performed and provided entertainment for events both large and small… backyard birthday parties, wedding receptions, street fairs, haunt attractions, corporate galas, sporting events, and charity fundraisers… if you have the proper space, we can bring the heat!
Do I need a permit for my event/party?
In the State of Ohio, it is a requirement per Ohio Fire Code that a permit be obtained for all public displays of flame effects (fire performance). If your event is hosted on private property and is a private event (not advertised to the public), a permit is not required. If your event requires a permit, one of our Licensed Fire Exhibitors can help you obtain the flame effects permit for the performance… Cost for permit varies by county/city.
What’s included in your performance rates?
When you hire us for your event we come prepared with our own sound equipment (unless provided by the host), cones/tape to mark off our performance space (if needed), and all of our props, fuels, and safety equipment. Our rates also include a “site consultation” (if necessary) to determine the appropriate setup/spacing for our display… Our rates DO NOT include the additional cost of the performance permit if required for your event.
Do you carry insurance for fire performance?
Yes. Our Licensed Fire Exhibitors carry personal insurance policies.
Do you only offer fire arts performances?
No. Our troupe is also able to provide LED displays if fire performance isn’t ideal for your event.
Are your shows family friendly?
They can be! We perform for lots of different types of events and audiences! We can easily adjust our music selection and costuming to be more appropriate for family oriented events.
Can you perform with fire for an indoor event?
We can! However, this request does require additional consent from the venue owners and further permission from your local fire department and/or fire marshal (or AHJ, Authority Having Jurisdiction).
Do you offer workshops or private lessons?
We do not currently offer formal fire spinning lessons or workshops as a troupe, however, a select few of our members offer non-fire based lessons pertaining to their chosen skill props… We do not condone unsafe fire practices and do not support or encourage the use of fire without proper supervision/direction of a trained professional. We also do not share “how to” information regarding our fuels and techniques to further discourage attempt of stunts by the general public.
Can I join the troupe?
On occasion the troupe will release and accept applications from interested performers/spinners. Accepted applicants will be adopted into the troupe as “apprentice members” for a defined probationary period and then deemed active members if proven a good “fit” for the team.
